Edwards back from injury

Fidel Edwards, the West Indies fast bowler, who has been out of action since the Test series in England with a back injury, has been named in the Barbados squad for the seventh round of the Carib Beer series. Edwards, who also missed the VB series in Australia earlier this year, will be back in action against the Leeward Islands at St.Kitts.

Edwards will replace Jason Bennett, an emerging fast bowler, in the Barbados squad, after they completed a much-needed win against the Windward Islands. Edwards, who made a grandstand debut in 2003 taking five Sri Lankan wickets, has represented the West Indies in 15 Tests, taking 39 wickets.

Barbados, the defending champions, are currently at the bottom of the table with 16 points.
