Australian Darren Holder has resigned after seven months as coaching manager for the West Indies Cricket Board. Holder, who had been in Australia with the West Indies team, albeit on vacation, will return to his home "due to a recent significant change in the circumstances surrounding his personal life."
A release from the WICB quoted Holder as also saying that despite his "grave disappointment" at leaving, he enjoyed his stint in the Caribbean. "However there are things more important than cricket as the present situation at home has clearly demonstrated to me."
The WICB also accepted the resignation of its Management Associate E-Commerce Operations, Marita Laurent, who has worked on marketing and the WICB's website since 2001.
