AUSTRALIA v WEST INDIES 1975-76

At Adelaide, December 20. Australia won by five wickets. Coming after two such dramatic games of Test cricket this was bound to be something of an anti-climax. Australia put the West Indies in to bat and except for Richards and Greenidge and to some extent Kallicharran later on, their batting was disappointing. After the exertions of Perth they were, perhaps understandably, not too concerned at the result. After quickly losing McCosker, Australia were given a solid platform by Ian Chappell and Turner. Both Chappells reached attractive fifties and Australia won this forty-over match with plenty to spare.
