WEST INDIES v ZIMBABWE

At Birmingham, June 20. West Indies won by ten wickets. Zimbabwe's 171 represented a recovery. Before a bold innings of 62 by Curran they were 42 for five, having had no answer to the pace and hostility of Marshall and Garner. The medium-paced Zimbabwean bowlers could do little to worry Haynes and Bacchus on a mild pitch, and though Traicos, the off-spinner, bowled his twelve overs for only 24 runs, West Indies cruised home with nearly fifteen overs to spare.

Man of the Match: S. F. A. Bacchus.
