Benson & Hedges World Cup 1991-92, qualifying match

INDIA v SRI LANKA

At MacKay, February 28. No result. Toss: Sri Lanka. MacKay's first international match was not worth the wait: play was delayed for five hours, and when the teams came out to face 20 overs each, torrential rain flooded the ground after two balls. Srikkanth had blocked one and then taken a single. The only entertainment was afforded by the aerobic dancing of the Indian players seeking exercise at the lunch interval.

Attendance: approx. 3,000.
