West Indies v Australia 1998-1999

At Port-of-Spain, April 18. Australia won by 20 runs. Toss: Australia.

Australia levelled this seesawing series again, despite sliding to 104 for eight after they chose to bat. Dillon took four wickets for two runs in his first five overs, but Bevan and Warne rallied to add 77, an Australian ninth-wicket record. Then Warne proved his resilience as he collected three wickets in West Indies' reply, which also saw three run-outs. Simmons, playing at his home ground on his 36th birthday, cheered up the local crowd with 42 in 49 balls, but West Indies were all out in the 47th over.

Man of the Match: S. K. Warne.
