Australia v West Indies 1984-85

At Melbourne, January 20. West Indies won by 65 runs. Nothing went right for Australia after they had won the toss. They dropped Richards at 5, 6 and 62, and fielded poorly as West Indies equalled thei previous highest WSC total. The decision to omit Bennett meant Wessels and Border sharing ten overs that cost them 74. A wholesale shuffling of their batting order reflectd Australian panic and, after losing their first four 34, they could not make any sort of show.
