At Chittagong, November 29, 2002. No result. Toss: Bangladesh.
Rain put a stop to Bangladesh's streak of 23 one-day defeats since they beat Pakistan in the 1999 World Cup. In what became the pattern for this series, West Indies started slowly, stumbling to 142 for four in the first 36 overs - and then blasted their way through the closing stages. Of 133 runs scored in the last 14 overs, 88 came from a Ricardo Powell blitz lasting a mere 50 balls,
and studded with seven fours and six sixes. Drakes, playing the tenth game of his international comeback, took all the wickets as Bangladesh reached 90 for four. Then the rain came down hard.
