Obituaries in 1950

BRERETON, MR. HENRY EVAN, who died in Australia on December 21, 1950, aged 64, was for over twenty-five years secretary of the Victorian Cricket Association. For seven years before that he held the position of secretary of the South Melbourne C.C. till taking over the State post in 1925. A keen cricketer, he played as an all-rounder for South Melbourne in his younger days, and for many years represented Melbourne F.C. at Australian Rules football.
