ESPNcricinfo staff

At Abu Dhabi, April 19, 2006 (day/night). India won by 51 runs. Toss: India.

India squared the short series on the back of a vastly improved batting performance. The openers set out in determined mood, and it was the 26th over before Sehwag fell after a stand of 138. Dhoni muscled in with 59, but the backbone of the innings was supplied by Dravid, whose 92 occupied 189 minutes and 116 balls. The total was boosted by a late burst from Yuvraj Singh, who collected 24 from ten balls and spoiled Mohammad Asif's figures with three fours and a flicked six off successive deliveries in his ninth over. India's 269 looked even more imposing when three quick wickets tumbled and, although Inzamam-ul-Haq stayed there, three wickets apiece for Powar and Pathan settled the issue. Fittingly, it was Dravid who ended the match as a contest, by jogging in from midwicket to run out Inzamam - his 39th such dismissal in one-day internationals.

Man of the Match: R. Dravid. Player of the Series: Inzamam-ul-Haq.
