Deccan Chargers v Delhi Daredevils

Indian Premier League, 2008-09

Nagraj Gollapudi

At Durban, May 13, 2009 (floodlit). Delhi Daredevils won by 12 runs. Toss: Deccan Chargers. Delhi Daredevils 173-7 (20 overs) (T. M. Dilshan 37, A. B. de Villiers 44, K. D. Karthik 44*); Deccan Chargers 161 (19.4 overs) (A. C. Gilchrist 64, A. Symonds 41; P. Sangwan 3-18, R. Bhatia 4-15). Delhi Daredevils 2 pts. Man of the Match: R. Bhatia.

Sehwag returned to the Delhi fold after missing the previous four games due to injury, but he was hardly needed as the in-form trio of Dilshan, de Villiers and Karthik ensured a big total. Deccan's Aussie heavyweights Gilchrist and Symonds led the chase, but two little-known Indians, 18-year-old left-arm paceman Pradeep Sangwan and the medium-paced all-rounder Rajat Bhatia, dismissed them and went on to wrap up victory.
