India secured the series with two matches to go, but only after a record-breaking innings from Russell and a batting collapse of their own. The Jamaican all-rounder belted five sixes and eight fours from 64 balls to register comfortably the highest score by a No. 9 in one-day internationals.The only problem was, West Indies had already disintegrated from 65 for one to 96 for seven, undone by their own carelessness and Mishra's sleight of hand: Russell's breathtaking display of clean hitting, including 22 off one Raina over, merely helped achieve respectability. India, though, threatened to fall apart themselves, and from 92 for six in the 23rd over they required the cool head of Rohit Sharma to avoid defeat. He added 88 with Harbhajan Singh and an unbroken 48 with Kumar to ease India into an unbeatable 3-0 lead.
