Profile

Peter Nevill is a wicketkeeper who switched states from Victoria in 2008 to boost New South Wales' stocks. Brad Haddin's elevation to national colours meant more openings, and Nevill, a former Australia Under-17 gloveman, hoped to push Daniel Smith, the squad's No. 2. He played one Sheffield Shield game in that first season, taking a catch and scoring 18 against his former team, and three FR Cup contests. The 2009-10 campaign was more successful as he stepped in for three Shield matches and impressed with the bat. He scored 105 against South Australia and 50 in his only other innings, while there were also 18 catches.
