Vernon Nagel was a 6'6" fast bowler - his brother, the same height, was of the same type - who played four times for Victoria in the 1930s, He had little success, although on his debut against the MCC in 1932-33 he did hit Eddie Paytner in the face, forcing him to retire with some loosened teeth.
