Villani and Osborne crush Pakistan
Australia women 95 for 1 (Villani 58*) beat Pakistan women 92 (Osborne 4-19, Coyte 3-9) by nine wickets
After winning the ODIs 4-0, Australia continued their dominance over Pakistan in the T20 international series, crushing the visitors by nine wickets with 45 balls to spare in the first match in Gold Coast.
Pakistan chose to bat and made a steady - if a little slow - start, reaching 54 for 1 in the 11th over. Marina Iqbal was the only wicket to fall, caught and bowled Erin Osborne, but her 22 was eventually the team's top score. Once Sarah Coyte had Nain Abdi dismissed for 20, the innings went into free fall.
None of the remaining batsmen made it past 15, as Osborne finished with 4 for 19 and Coyte with 3 for 9. Pakistan lost three wickets in the 20th over and were dismissed for 92 off the final delivery.
Elyse Villani made short work of the chase. She scored 58 off 40 balls and took her team to victory in 12.3 overs. Australia lost only Jess Jonassen for 19 during their chase.
