Another Priest ton powers NZ Women to series win
New Zealand Women 326 for 5 (Priest 157, Bates 80) beat Sri Lanka Women 138 (Kanchana 28, Bermingham 3-28) by 188 runs
Rachel Priest's third straight fifty-plus score powered New Zealand Women to a 188-run victory against Sri Lanka Women in Lincoln, helping them take an unassailable lead in the five-match series.
Priest, who came into the third game with scores of 108 and 51* under her belt, batted for nearly three hours and blasted a 146-ball 157, with 23 fours. Priest received ample support from her opening partner Suzie Bates, who scored 80, as the pair added 196 inside 32 overs. The pair's partnership laid the foundation for New Zealand to make 326 for 5.
Sri Lanka lost wickets right from the off during their chase, and were bundled out for 138 inside 42 overs. A lot of batsmen made starts, but only Ama Kanchana could manage more than 20. Legspinner Erin Bermingham was the pick of the bowlers, collecting 3 for 26, while Lea Tahuhu and Amy Satterthwaite picked up two apiece.
