27.1 to JE Root, full length at the stumps, Root seems to play all around it, huge appeal for lbw and instantly given out. It seemed to be just a straight delivery angled into the stumps, Root was aiming too leg side and when he missed, he was in big trouble, Steve Davis greedily getting his finger up almost before Mathews had the chance to turn around. 117/5 | ||||||||||

1.6 to MM Ali, big early strike! The in-form opener departs. Coming down the pitch, aiming over the leg side, loses his shape on the shot. The ball hits his back pad then cannons into leg stump. 7/1 9.2 to AN Cook, oh dear! England falling apart to spin, again. The captain's problems continue. Swept a full delivery, it takes the top edge and couldn't have picked out deep square-leg with any more precision. 37/3 | ||||||||||

8.1 to IR Bell, picks out long-off! Coming down the pitch, trying to repeat his shot of the previous over, lofts it very straight but without the distance. Thisara Perera judges the catch well, had plenty of time to see it. Nicely bowled by Herath who held the delivery back, Bell wasn't quite to the pitch. 36/2 | ||||||||||

39.5 to CR Woakes, just as the stand was building, and Bopara needed support, Woakes charges down the pitch and is beaten leaving Sangakkara which a simple stumping. Hang on, the umpire wants to check the no-ball. It's very tight, is anything grounded behind the line? This would be very careless from Mendis. The foot drags forward a touch, and it's ruled to legal. Just.. 173/7 41.2 to RS Bopara, picks out midwicket! He went deep in his crease, then down on his knee to sweep. Connected strongly but picked out Mathews on the edge of the ring. 180/8 41.4 to ST Finn, and another! Wasn't much more than a straight delivery and it took an inside edge into the stumps as Finn prodded forward without any conviction. 180/9 | ||||||||||

19.3 to EJG Morgan, length ball sliding across Morgan who feels hard for it and pops a catch to short extra cover who gets down well to his right hand side. The slow nature of this pitch evident here, the ball not coming on at all for Morgan leaning outside off to press into the covers, he's there too soon and taps a relatively straightforward chance to the fielder who took a smart catch. 75/4 | ||||||||||

31.4 to JC Buttler, well, Buttler won't be targetting Prasad. He's fallen to him for the second time in two innings. And in very similar manner, getting an inside edge on a length delivery which cannons into the stumps. 132/6 42.6 to HF Gurney, and that is that! 4.1 to MDKJ Perera, back of a length at the body, pulled into the leg side and finds square leg! Easy catch for Bopara, just popped up by Perera cramped for room and getting the pull all wrong.
