Profile

A legspinner whose father Darren played for New South Wales Country, Adam Zampa was chosen in Australia's squad for the Under-19 World Cup in 2010. He took four wickets in two games of the winning campaign, and picked up a rookie contract with New South Wales for 2010-11. Zampa progressed steadily in NSW, earning his first-class debut in November 2012 and subsequently appearing for the Blues limited overs side and the Sydney Thunder in the BBL. Possessing impressive control and variety, though not an outrageous turner of the ball, Zampa has also showed leadership potential as captain of Sutherland in Sydney grade competition.
