Sidebottom to Kamran Akmal, SIX, goodness me, what a start! Welcome to a bouncing pitch! Dug it short, it climbs on Akmal who rises and smashes a pull away it sails high, and only just over the head of fine leg for six. Very close, but good start

Sidebottom to Kamran Akmal, 1 run, much calmer here, it would be difficult not to be, but guided from back of a length outside off stump, down to third man

Sidebottom to Salman Butt, no run, cracking delivery, that's the length to bowl, full but still climbing past the outside edge as it pitches and left Butt

Sidebottom to Salman Butt, no run, beaten again! This time some swing outside off, full again, Butt flinches at it aimlessly outside off and it zips past the edge

Sidebottom to Salman Butt, no run, three in a row now, pressure just building a fraction here, Butt advanced down the wicket but without much conviction, swished airily at nothing and the ball went through to the keeper

Sidebottom to Salman Butt, FOUR, poor ball to finish and Butt takes advantage, short and very wide outside off, like any decent batsmen, he loves it out there, throws his arms through the line, it flies down to deep point for four

Pakistan 11/0   RJ Sidebottom 1-0-11-0

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, 1 wide, Sidebottom returns and that looks a harsh call, a touch short but not very, Razzaq had to crouch low to get under it, but it was given a wide

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, 1 run, shortish again and aimed into the body, Razzaq tries to swing it away, gets an under edge down to fine leg. Looks like a very deliberate effort not to dare bowl length to Razzaq

Sidebottom to Umar Akmal, FOUR, outrageous shot, and very well done from Akmal. He gets down low and, watching the fine leg come up to the circle, dinks it over the fielder's head for a boundary

Sidebottom to Umar Akmal, no run, Sidebottom this time goes full, Akmal hung back and would have backed himself to smash it away back down the ground, but couldn't quite time it

Sidebottom to Umar Akmal, OUT, what a catch from Pietersen! Brilliant stuff, dug in short from Sidebottom, Akmal smashed it miles in the air down to deep midwicket, Pietersen running back and around from a straightish midwicket, stuck his hands out and snaffled an excellent take

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, 1 run, good stuff from Sidebottom here, full and Razzaq can't quite time his off-side flay and collects one

Sidebottom to Fawad Alam, 1 run, good ball once more, fullish outside off stump and driven by Alam without much timing into the off side

Pakistan 120/6   RJ Sidebottom 2-0-19-1

Sidebottom to Mohammad Amir, no run, Pakistan need some big shots soon, this is short and Aamer once again attempts his off-side guide, but can't connect

Sidebottom to Mohammad Amir, no run, England will be loving this, Razzaq marooned at the wrong end, Aamer again missing a nudge down to third man from Sidebottom's shortish ball outside off

Sidebottom to Mohammad Amir, no run, good from Sidebottom, Aamer seems desperate to get inside the line and push it to third man so ran outside leg to give himself room, Sidebottom followed him and he couldn't get it away

Sidebottom to Mohammad Amir, 1 run, finally connects, giving himself plenty of room once again and mistimes it into the covers

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, 1 wide, much slower ball attempted, but the line goes awry, sprayed well outside off

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, 1 wide, oh dear, Sidebottom repeats the line, shoving it miles outside off and not even Razzaq can reach it

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, SIX, well, that was as hideous from Sidebottom as it was brilliant from Razzaq, a gentle full toss straight into Razzaq's hitting arc, he pummelled straight back over his head for six

Sidebottom to Abdul Razzaq, OUT, gone! Razzaq can't repeat the dose, another pretty gentle full toss, perhaps a bit lower this time, Razzaq tries to smash it away but gets it off the bottom of the bat and it loops out gently to long off, who gleefully takes it

Abdul Razzaq c Bresnan b Sidebottom 10 (20m 9b 0x4 1x6) SR: 111.11
