ICC World Twenty20 - 14th match, Group E

New Zealand v South Africa

South Africa won by 13 runs

13.25 The teams line up for the national anthems. New Zealand's first up, followed by South Africa's. Bumble says on TV: "It's going to be a terrific match, anthem-wise, that's the best two anthems I have heard."

South Africa saunter towards the dug-out while New Zealand get into a huddle in the middle.

Two giant men, Smith and Kallis, open for South Africa. Nathan McCullum will continue to open the bowling. This will be a big (no pun intended) test for him.

13.10 Bala from the US is happy with the South African combination today. "FINALLY !! Sense prevails and RSA pick an actual bowler in Botha. And an actual batsman too. Well done Smithy."

Belford from the UK disagrees: "I am disappointed not to see Theron debut. Duminy can be used as the spin for RSA. He is a decent spinner and Theron could replace Botha. RAS barely even bowl out the spinner in their matches. SO Duminy could slip in a couple."

Ravi from the US tries to increase NZ's fanbase: "Not rooting for NZ is like not rooting for Teddy bears and chocolates..how can you not like them??"

This is for the likes of Ram who aren't up to speed on tournament rules. No points carried over to the Super Eights from the first round.

13.00 South Africa choose to bat. Smith: "Back to back games are rough, but everyone is doing okay. Today's track looks slower than the one yesterday." Two changes for SA: Gibbs in for Bosman, and Botha takes van der Merwe's place.

Vettori: "This is going to be a much quicker track than the ones we have played on so far. I still think spinner's will have a role to play, but they will have to be pretty precise. No changes to our XI."

12.50 England have just completed a comfortable victory over defending champions Pakistan, helped by some ordinary fielding. The second match of the day between New Zealand and South Africa is likely to have much better fielding.

New Zealand's strategy of opening with Nathan McCullum has worked well in both their matches so far, but will they continue with that tactic on the quicker track in Barbados?

The first ball is still 25 minutes away, during which you could get your social networking fix by checking out our Facebook page.

He might end up slowing the run-rate. His best chance lies at the top with only two fielders outside the circle!"

Bond to Boucher, 1 bye, Boucher looks to paddle the final delivery past the keeper, they get a single after he fails to connect, what a final over from Bond, just five from it

This is a strong batting effort from South Africa. Albie Morkel showed us his finishing ability with a superb display of straight hitting, de Villiers and Gibbs chipped in with quick efforts. Vettori, as usual, was miserly, but towards the end NZ just couldn't stop the onslaught, except for a fine final over from Bond. NZ's batting will have be at their best to win this one.

Gary from Austria asks: "Is this the first time in the tournament that a fielding team has bowled its 20 in time? 4 minutes earlier even." I'm not keeping track of these things, particularly as there's no IPL-style 100,000$ or more for being an over behind schedule.
