Profile

A young bowling allrounder who is developing into a genuinely quick seamer, Richard Jones toured Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with England Under-19 in the winter of 2005-06, but initially struggled to force his way into Worcestershire's first XI. His first-class debut finally came in 2007, against Loughborough UCCE. He spent much of the next two years in and out of the second XI, however, until finally securing his place towards the end of the 2009 season.
