Matt Coles is a powerfully-built allrounder who moved from his home county of Kent to Hampshire to move his career forward and then, only one year into a three-year deal, promptly moved back again. An aggressive bustling seamer he took 41 wickets at 28.41 in 2014 as Hampshire gained promotion but he struggled to settle away from friends and family in his home town of Maidstone and conceded a chance to impress back in Division One of the County Championship and perhaps attract the England selectors once more.
