Profile

Anthony Martin, a legspinner, made his debut at the age of 25 in 2008 for Leeward Islands, and has accumulated a solid, if not spectacular, record over four seasons. He impressed in the 2010-11 WICB one-day competition with a hat-trick that put Leeward Islands in the final. He also had the best economy rate of 2.82 in the tournament. The performance earned him a place among West Indies' probables for the 2011 World Cup. The decision to axe Sulieman Benn and Nikita Miller brought him a call-up to the West Indies limited-overs squad against Pakistan for the 2011 home series, and he made his debut in the second game of the five-match series.
