ICC World Twenty20 - 18th match, Group F

New Zealand v Pakistan

Pakistan won by 6 wickets (with 41 balls remaining)

1.4

Abdul Razzaq to BB McCullum, OUT, Razzaq takes out McCullum. This is his first over after coming back from ICL. A little big moment for him. McCullum walked down the pitch and square drove it hard but straight to point

BB McCullum c Fawad Alam b Abdul Razzaq 12 (8m 6b 2x4 0x6) SR: 200.00

New Zealand 17/1   AJ Redmond 5* (4b)   Abdul Razzaq 0.4-0-3-1

4.2

Mohammad Amir to Redmond, OUT, What a soft dismissal. Aamer serves a full toss on the middle, Redmond tries to heave it over mid-on but mistimes it completely and sends a dolly of a catch to mid-on

AJ Redmond c Umar Gul b Mohammad Amir 15 (18m 14b 2x4 0x6) SR: 107.14

New Zealand 33/2   MJ Guptill 6* (6b 1x4)   Mohammad Amir 2.2-0-20-1

5.3

Abdul Razzaq to Guptill, OUT, Razzaq claims his second victim. What a day for him. It was a typical Razzaq delivery. Tilting in to the right-handed batsman. It was full and it moved in, Guptill missed the attempted flick, and was struck in front of the leg stump. Hawk eye says it would have clipped the leg stump

MJ Guptill lbw b Abdul Razzaq 8 (14m 8b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

New Zealand 37/3   SB Styris 1* (5b)   Abdul Razzaq 2.3-0-13-2

9.3

Shahid Afridi to Oram, OUT, Afridi sends Oram back to the hutch. Oram charged down the track for the big hit but only succeeded in skying it straight up. Misbah ran back from extra cover to take a neat catch. New Zealand are wobbling here. 55 for 4.

JDP Oram c Misbah-ul-Haq b Shahid Afridi 5 (12m 11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 45.45

New Zealand 55/4   SB Styris 13* (18b 1x6)   Shahid Afridi 1.3-0-2-1

12.3

Umar Gul to Styris, OUT, What a fabulous catch from Afridi running backwards towards long-on. Styris had found more elevation than distance and it looked to be landing safely. But Afridi had other ideas. He ran full pelt from mid-on and lunged in the end, four or five metres from the boundary, to take a very good catch. It's the dangerous Pakistan that has turned out today. And the tournament is so much better for it.

SB Styris c Shahid Afridi b Umar Gul 22 (33m 29b 0x4 1x6) SR: 75.86

New Zealand 73/5   PD McGlashan 8* (7b 1x4)   Umar Gul 0.3-0-1-1

12.4

Umar Gul to McGlashan, OUT, And Gul gets another wicket with a yorker. McGlashan took couple of steps down the track and tried to sweep it. Not a good idea. The yorker crashed into his pad and he was caught in front of the stumps.

PD McGlashan lbw b Umar Gul 8 (14m 8b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

New Zealand 73/6   NL McCullum 0* (0b)   Umar Gul 0.4-0-1-2

15.4

Umar Gul to NL McCullum, OUT, The leg stump has gone for a walk. It was full, it was straight and went past the attempted big hit. Clatter! Pakistan are all over the Kiwis at this point.

NL McCullum b Umar Gul 7 (9m 11b 1x4 0x6) SR: 63.63

New Zealand 88/7   JEC Franklin 5* (7b)   Umar Gul 1.4-0-4-3

17.3

Umar Gul to Franklin, OUT, And what a spell this has been. Another deadly fatal yorker. Another wicket. Franklin was looking to hit across the line. Mistake. The middle stump has been pegged back.

JEC Franklin b Umar Gul 7 (16m 13b 0x4 0x6) SR: 53.84

New Zealand 93/8   DL Vettori 3* (5b)   Umar Gul 2.3-0-4-4

17.4

Umar Gul to Mills, OUT, Stand up and applaud. This is the first five-for in Twenty20 internationals. Umar Gul is da Maan. The leg cutter does the trick. The batsman gets a leading edge to cover. Simple catch. 5 for 4 and what's more he is on a hat-trick for the second time today.

KD Mills c Shahzaib Hasan b Umar Gul 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

New Zealand 93/9   DL Vettori 3* (5b)   Umar Gul 2.4-0-4-5
