Colin Guest was one of many talented Australian fast bowlers whose opportunities at international level were restricted by Ray Lindwall and Keith Miller. Most of his domestic cricket was for Victoria, whom he helped win the Sheffield Shield in 1962-63. In the same season, he was a stop-gap selection for Ken Mackay in the third Test against England at Sydney, where he went wicketless. Guest finished his career after moving to Western Australia in 1964, whose U18 side he later coached.
