Profile

Charterhouse is a hard and true pitch which favours batsmen, and it is no surprise the schools has produced many first-class cricketers, none more famous than Peter May. The pitch itself is located against the imposing backdrop of school and chapel at one end and surrounded by woods on two other sides, with the pavilion, slightly adrift on the far square boundary. It played host to one John Player League match in 1972.
