65.2 to T Taibu, Sohail gets his first Test wicket, gift-wrapped by a dangerous-looking Taibu. This is short, this is wide, Taibu goes hard at it. All he manages is a thin edge through to the keeper. Sohail exults, Taibu walks back. 176/4
28.4117942.7514415002
138.4 to RW Price, Cheema gets his first wicket! Price is gone, was looking to defend that off the back foot, inside-edged on to the pad and that pops up towards short leg, who moves quickly to his left to lap it up on the second chance, it was Azhar Ali who took the catch, ending up on his back and appealing as he fell over. 374/7
144.2 to BV Vitori, Vitori is gone, isn't he? a shortish ball outside off that Vitori flails at without moving his feet, a nick through to first slip where Younis Khan has pouched it, Pakistan are celebrating, Vitori was starting to walk off when he was stopped by Mawoyo, I think Younis got his hands under it but it is hard to tell on the replays, it's taking a long time to reach a decision and finally the umpires send Vitori on his way.. 394/8
146.1 to KM Jarvis, a reverse-swinging yorker from Cheema takes out the offstump, that was far too good for Jarvis, he belatedly tries to get his bat down and crouches, only to see the ball has gone past to dislodge off stump, great sight for a fast bowler. 394/9
150.4 to CB Mpofu, whoah, that was a shooter, didn't rise up at all, Mpofu is stuck on the back foot as his stumps are spectacularly send flying across, only one stump remains standing, that's more of what you expect from a Pakistan fast bowler, so Zimbabwe finish on 412, and Mawoyo has carried his bat through.. 412/10
29145511.891477010
99.5 to CR Ervine, Junaid gets his first wicket in Test cricket, a moment to savour for him, not so much for Ervine who misses out on a half-century, another short ball that was angling in, Ervine tries to guide that to the leg side, off the shoulder of the bat and loops back to the bowler, the partnership ends at 94. 270/5
541314342.6424919100
22.5 to V Sibanda, as expected, Ajmal gets the first wicket! It's the doosra again. Sibanda leaves the crease again, Ajmal bowls this slightly wide outside off. Beaten in the flight, Sibanda looks to push at this defensively, but he has not picked the doosra. It beats the outside edge, and Sibanda is left stranded half way down the pitch. Adnan Akmal makes no mistake behind the stumps. 71/1
36.1 to H Masakadza, Ajmal gets another wicket! An ambitious shot from Masakadza. This is from round the stumps, a short-of-a-length delivery, Masakadza tries the pull, missed the line, and Ajmal hits the off stump. 91/2
40.4 to BRM Taylor, Big lbw shout. Sharp, big offbreak from outside off. Taylor moves half forward and then goes back, is beaten by the movement, and is hit smack in front of the stumps. On first look it seemed it might be turning too much, but he is so deep in the crease the ball had hardly any distance to travel. Plumb. Ajmal has all three. He could take all 10, the others have been so ineffective. 111/3
135.3 to GA Lamb, at long last a wicket for Pakistan, Ajmal removes Lamb who was looking to defend an offspinner, perhaps he was looking for a third consecutive doosra, he doesn't get bat on it, past the inside edge and hit low on the pad, that pitched on middle and off and went straight on, a vociferous appeal and umpire raises the finger, much to Pakistan's relief. 365/6

1.6 to Taufeeq Umar, Zimbabwe are ecstatic as Umar is gone lbw, that was again a full delivery a hint of swing inwards, there was some doubt whether it pitched outside leg, replays show it did, Umar was looking to tuck that to the leg side, he misses and is struck low on the pad, he's given lbw, and is not too happy with the decision, seemed a good one though. 8/1
2256422.901069100
151.6 to Sohail Khan, finally a good catch! Sohail has a go at a length ball, flicks it in the air, ends up dragging it a touch squarer than he would have liked, Craig Ervine at deep midwicket goes to his right and completes the catch. This one has fallen five minutes before lunch!. 455/8
155.2 to Junaid Khan, ... short leg takes the catch! That's bowled well to the plan. Short of a length, at his body, handcuffs him, Junaid takes his eyes off it, and the ball takes the shoulder of the bat to spoon up for a simple catch. 466/9
50.1246921.372595200
142.1 to Younis Khan, Younis has missed the ton! Price has toiled for 44.1 overs, but he has got the big wicket. And for all the sloppy catching yesterday, this is a remarkable catch. This is a near full toss, but Younis stays back to try to drive it on the half-volley. The turn away from middle and leg takes the edge, which hits Taibu's pad, and deflects away sharply... into the alert Taylor's hands. 424/7
156.1 to Saeed Ajmal, wicket No. 2 for Price. Ambitious shot from Ajmal. This is flighted outside leg, Ajmal makes room and looks to cut, the ball turns and squeezes under the bat. Timber. 466/10
28212034.2810611200
67.6 to Azhar Ali, Lamb has struck, he has deserved his first Test wicket, shifts the line wider and fuller outside off stump, Azhar takes the bait and goes for the cover drive, but only manages to edge it for Taibu to hold on to it. 218/3
103.4 to Misbah-ul-Haq, Zimbabwe have held on to a catch, Misbah falls on the sweep, top edge towards short fine leg who rushes in eagerly, finds the ball going over, and then stops, shuffles around furiously before going down tumbling, with the ball in hand for once. 318/4
120.1 to Umar Akmal, that is a quite bizarre dismissal, short ball pulled straight in to forward short leg's shoulder, and it pops up to Taylor at leg gully, who holds on to the rebound, Umar cannot believe his wretched luck, shades of Tendulkar getting out against Australia, Mumbai 2001. 357/5
721311.85351000
58.4 to Mohammad Hafeez, Hamilton does it for Zimbabwe on the stroke of lunch, Pakistan were playing for lunch all this while, Hamilton served up a low full toss on leg stump, and Hafeez worked it straight to short midwicket, Zimbabwe have something to show for the session, Hafeez's fluent knock is over, he had gone completely off the boil in the last half hour or so after reaching his century. 196/2

3.2 to V Sibanda, Sibanda refuses to stop pulling! Obsessive compulsive puller of a ball inches short of a length! How many times has he got out to that shot this summer? The shot wasn't never on, he still pulled, ended up hitting it towards mid-on for an easy catch. Sibanda needs to write 10,000 times "I will not pull unless it is a long hop". Turns out this is the fifth time he has been out pulling this summer, all five being catches in front of square. 9/1
13.2 to H Masakadza, Timber! He was going to defend it, he was going to leave it, he has dragged it on! Pandemonium there. Pakistan can smell a win here. This dismissal sums up the uncertainty Zimbabwe must be feeling. This was a short-of-a-length delivery, angling in but still wide outside off. Masakadza came forward to defend, then thought of leaving, but found the edge even as he was withdrawing the bat. The off stump goes cartwheeling. 31/4
54.6 to T Taibu, that is the game for Pakistan, I dare say, horror start for Zimbabwe to the final day, Taibu going in search of the single off the last ball, trying to steer a very widish one outside off, and gets a very healthy edge through to Adnan, who takes it cleanly, bury those Sydney ghosts for the moment, it is the end of Taibu's brave fight back. 135/9
56.3 to CB Mpofu, that will be that then, Mpofu is gone, Adnan holds on again, fine low tumbling catch to his right, Cheema has his fourth, fuller delivery close to off stump, making him prod at it and taking the edge on its way to Adnan. 141/10
2245322.401016000
8.2 to TMK Mawoyo, Timber! The immoveable object of this test is gone. The technique of moving across and cover the turn from outside the line of off worked very well for Mawoyo in the first innings. This time, though, he has moved too far across, and this shortish delivery turns a mile to clip the top of the exposed leg stump. 19/2
12.5 to BRM Taylor, Captain Taylor is out sweeping! The second time he has tried the shot this over. This is not a full enough delivery, so there is more scope for its turning and beating the shot. That's what happens here. Pitched outside off, turns in, beats the bat, hits him in front of off, would have taken middle and leg. 31/3
1543142.06710100
17.2 to CR Ervine, This one stays low, and Hafeez has struck second ball! This is dead plumb. The slider. Short of a length, Ervine stays back, the ball stays low, squeezes under the bat, and catches him deep in the crease, on the back leg. This would have taken out the middle of middle stump. 45/5
23.2 to GA Lamb, Pads up to it and given! Close call. This one turns in from outside off, not as much as Lamb expects. He expects a big offbreak and pads up. It hits him in front of middle. On the back foot. Could have clipped leg, could have missed it. However, not playing a shot to that wasn't too clever. 61/6
25.5 to RW Price, he can run the bath again! The off stump and Price go for a walk. He has played inside the line of a straight delivery. Perhaps it is the natural variation. The offbreak hasn't turned as much as he expected, and the off pole is hit. Pakistan ever so close to the win. 61/7
27.3 to BV Vitori, Vittori was always going to slog the first delivery pitched up, and they had a man on the slog-sweep! Taufeeq Umar takes a superb catch running to his right at deep midwicket, and also diving in front. Clean as a whistle too. Hafeez's career-best figures. Zimbabwe 15 for 8. 69/8

4.3 to Taufeeq Umar, Jarvis gets his man, he has been pegging away outside that off stump for quite some time to Umar now, gets it to rise from short of a length, this one leaves him a shade, he is already on the front foot, and edges it with an angled bat to Taibu's left, he takes it easily. 19/1
10.423523.28526100
11.2 to Mohammad Hafeez, oh well, he has bowled him round his legs, it pitched fullish outside leg stump and Hafeez went down for the sweep, but did not connect well and to his dismay, it trickled on to the stumps, end of a superb match effort for Hafeez, he has delivered each time for Pakistan in this match when it was needed. 49/2
19.5 to Azhar Ali, Zimbabwe hold on to a catch in the outfield, Azhar wanting to get it done with, goes for a heave, but the edge flies high in front of point, Lamb settles under it, it pops out on the first attempt, but he takes it on the second. 80/3
