Profile

Alasdair Evans - born in Kent to Scottish parents - made his first-class debut for Loughborough UCCE in 2009 before going on to represent Scotland. A medium pace swing bowler, he featured in eight Clydesdale Bank 40 games for Scotland in 2012 and ended the summer by making his Derbyshire debut in the same competition, taking two wickets. His form in the Second XI, which brought him 73 wickets in two seasons, helped him secure a contract for the 2013 season.
