Moor leads Rhinos to easy win

ESPNcricinfo staff

A solid showing from Mid West Rhinos' top order helped them chase down 187 with seven overs and nine wickets to spare against Matabeleland Tuskers, to register their first win of the Pro50 Championship. Rhinos chose to bowl, and their bowlers struck with regularity and shared the wickets around. The only half-century of the Tuskers' innings came from Godwill Mamhiyo, but even he could not really get much momentum going. Tawanda Mupariwa struck early in the chase, but that was the only success Tuskers were to enjoy. Ronnie Chokununga scored an unbeaten half-century, while Peter Moor hit a brisk hundred to finish off the chase with a lot to spare.

The match between Southern Rocks and Mountaineers was called off due to a thunderstorm in Masvingo. Mountaineers, chasing 177, were 24 for 3 when the umpires took the players off the field. Rocks, batting first, had earlier been bowled out for 176, as Tatenda Mupunga ran through their line-up to dismiss the team in 43.4 overs.

Hi Julian I agree , where is Meth? He would be so much better than Vitori in the T20 world cup , Medium pace accuracy with that swing, Vitori is wayward and will concede far to many extras ..

Great to see PJ Moor showing his class with his maiden ton, Test cricketer of the future .....

The poor old Tuskers really look out of their depth here with Sean Williams away on International duty they are really struggling for experience and class .....

The Tuskers are sorely missing Duffin, Ewing, Moeen Ali, Craig and Sean Ervine, Charles Coventry, Kegan Meth and Glen Querl too much class to lose in one year .....
