154.3 to RAS Lakmal, Mpofu gets his first wicket of the match. Mid-on runs back and to his right to catch it. Full on off stump, Lakmal swings hard, so much so he loses his shape. Ends up skying the ball in the air. Well-judged catch from Tiripano at mid-on. Tharanga looks towards the dressing room. No signal from Herath. SL bat on. 536/9
154.6 to CBRLS Kumara, Kumara bags a first-ball duck on Test debut. Mpofu has his second wicket, and SL have been dismissed for 537. Good length, angled in from around the wicket, and straightens late to take the outside edge. Moor clings onto the catch. He will be relieved to leave the field. Kumara therefore becomes the third Sri Lankan to get a golden duck on debut in 2016. 537/10
24210114.2010016000
148.5 to HMRKB Herath, Mumba gets his maiden Test wicket. Chest-high lifter on middle, cramps the batsman up for room. Herath looks away, takes his eyes off the climbing ball, and fends it in the air to square leg, where Waller pouches it. 512/8
2677102.7312310000
42614243.3817415000
37.3 to FDM Karunaratne, Cremer breaks the opening stand. Shortish legbreak, turns in, and sort of stopped on the batsman, who was back on the back foot, looking to punch it over short midwicket or rather short mid-on. Instead, he ends up chipping it to Mawoyo. Soft, soft dismissal. 123/1
75.4 to BKG Mendis, The SL openers threw it away but this is definitely a wicket-taking delivery, and Moor finally clings onto a catch. Fizzing legbreak, which starts outside off, and turns away further. Keeps low and surprises Kusal. It was an attempted short ball, but shot low, foiling Kusal's cut. Grazes the outside edge and Moor snaps it up in front of his pad. 282/3
83.3 to MDKJ Perera, Kusal holes out to extra cover, diving to his right. Tossed up liberally outside off, very full, draws a booming drive from the left-hander. He does not keep it down, and Cremer strikes with the old ball. 307/4
107.3 to DM de Silva, Cremer gets his fourth wicket, Williams holds onto to a catch, moving to his left from long-off. Cremer lobs this legbreak up, Dhananjaya dashes down the track, but doesn't get close enough to the pitch. He slices the loft and picks out Williams. Zimbabwe strike in the second over after the drinks break. 351/5
933103.44453200
1725413.17655000
134.6 to DAS Gunaratne, Shortish ball, drifts in, and does not come onto the batsman. Asela skips back for a pull over the man at midwicket. He can't manufacture enough pace. He ends up skying a top edge to Cremer who snaffles the catch, and that's drinks. Good, chest-high take it was, at midwicket, with the sun squinting into his eyes. 450/6
602514.16222100
61.3 to JK Silva, Silva tosses it away! No back-to-back Test centuries for him. Waist-high catch for mid-on. The fielder moved to his left and snapped it up. This wasn't a wicket-taking delivery by any measure. Silva jumps out of the crease, takes a full-toss and just chips it to Williams. The two part-timers combine for the wicket. Relief for the hosts. 198/2

27.5 to TMK Mawoyo, Lakmal gets Mayowo with the short ball in his third over of the day. Mawoyo was uncertain against the lifting ball on the second day too. Lakmal digs it short on off, chest-high delivery, Mawoyo is cramped for room, and is neither forward nor back. He skies a top edge, which is snaffled at square leg placed halfway to the boundary. Asela, the debutant, didn't need to budge. 92/2
29.2 to H Masakadza, nicked to first slip. Two wickets in four balls for Lakmal. Full and nibbles away outside off, Hamilton reaches out for a drive with his hands, plays away from the body, and edges it to first slip. Karunaratne hangs onto it and finds redemption, having dropped Hamilton on 1 on the second day. Nice, waist-high catch. 92/3
107.5 to CB Mpofu, bowled'em. Zimbabwe have been dismissed for 373. Nice and full, angled in, Mpofu aims to defend. Limp effort. Leaves a big gap between the bat and the pad. Lakmal bursts through the gate and finishes with three wickets. 373/10
2239014.099414020
71.5 to PJ Moor, Moor has been bounced out. Maiden Test wicket for teenage debutant Kumara. Dilruwan runs in from gully, dives forward, and takes the catch, inches from the ground. Nasty short ball angled in on off, neck-high delivery, Moor takes his eyes off the ball again. He hops and fends it limply off the glove. The seventh-wicket stand ends at 132, 22 shy of the record stand. 271/7

5.4 to BB Chari, Herath strikes in his first over on captaincy debut. Full and skids into Chari, who plays back. The ball stayed a bit low and thudded into the back pad. Trapped him in front of middle and leg. It was crashing into leg stump. Grazing leg only, says the tracker. 21/1
34.4 to SC Williams, Williams attempts the orthodox sweep now and holes out to deep square leg. Tossed up, Herath held it back, turns in, bounces. Williams goes low and top-edges it to Asela. Chest-high catch. 111/4
104.5 to CT Mumba, wide of the crease, tossed up, and angled in. Mumba dares to race at Herath. He is nowhere close to the pitch of this delivery. Has a wild swish and only connects with thin air. Herath takes the off stump. Zimbabwe nine down. 366/9
1816623.66715100
40.3 to CR Ervine, big appeal for lbw, looks dead plumb, and umpire Gould's finger goes up almost instantly. Zimbabwe continue to crumble. Full and slides on with the arm again, no turn, Ervine is rooted to the crease, and plays down the wrong line. Trapped in front of middle. It was crashing into leg stump. Clipping leg stump, according to HawkEye. 134/5
42.1 to MN Waller, Waller plays back, and umpire Gould's finger goes up. Two wickets in two overs for Dilruwan. Back of a length delivery, no turn, simply skids on after pitching. Stays a bit low. Waller moves back, pulls, misses, and is rapped on the back thigh, before the ball ricochets onto the front thigh, in front of middle. The tracker shows it was taking the middle of middle. 139/6

101.5 to DT Tiripano, wicketkeeper-batsman Mendis breaks the stand, strikes in his second over in Test cricket. Full, straight, delivery, Tiripano, who is rooted to the crease, plays for the turn, and misses. Pings the front pad. Trapped in front of middle. As plumb as it gets. Oh wait, the umpires are checking for a back-foot no-ball. The back foot did not cut the crease. It's fine. Maiden first-class wicket for Kusal Mendis and he has a big smile. No fifty for Tiripano. 363/8

54.3 to FDM Karunaratne, soft dismissal! Karunaratne is done in by the slower delivery. Mpofu bowls a full ball and Karunaratne pushes it gently back to the bowler on the up, it's catching practice. It was the off-cutter from Mpofu and Karunaratne doesn't pick it, tries to drive on the front foot but goes through with the shot early which results in the bat face closing and the ball lobbing back to the bowler who takes it easily. 211/5
1406704.78455101
11.525044.22415000
9.3 to JK Silva, chopped on. Sticks to the fuller length and gets the reward. Pitches one up on the fourth stump line, not much movement but Silva leaves a gap between bat and pad. Ends up skewing the firward push and the ball kisses the inside edge before breaking his stumps. 17/1
31.4 to BKG Mendis, and gone! On the stroke of lunch. A nothing delivery, full on the pads of Mendis who instead of picking up some runs has got a thick leading edge on his flick. It lobs up, mid-in moves to his right, settles underneath and takes it. Made an easy catch look easy, not happened too many times this Test. A false stroke, may have got to the ball too early on this sluggish pitch. 111/3
33.3 to WU Tharanga, a nothing shot! Short of good length and wide outside off, looks to slap it away but the ball keeps a tad low and results in a bottom edge that is snaffled by the wicketkeeper. 117/4
61.1 to DM de Silva, that's four for Mumba on debut! Length ball, fifth-stump line, and the ball stops on de Silva as he tries to drive on the up, and bounces a touch extra. Ends up jabbing at it and popping a simple catch to point. 241/6

22.2 to MDKJ Perera, edged and taken. If the intent was to tempt the batsman to drive, Waller gets 10 out of 10. It was beautifully tossed up. Nice loopy delivery that lands on off stump. Perera falls for the bait and goes for the drive but doesn't account for the turn. Gets a healthy outside edge that is snaffled superbly at slip. 72/2

BOWLINGOMRWECON0s4s6sWDNB

32.3 to H Masakadza, another one that tails back in sharply. It was back of a length and Masakadza was on to the front foot, looking to defend. But the ball spits back in and raps him on the pad in front of middle. Looked plumb and umpire Ian Gould takes little time in giving that. 74/4
32.5 to MN Waller, and that's another one. Zimbabwe are falling apart here. Lakmal gets another one to move back in late. Waller gets forward to defend but the ball beats his inside edge and raps him on the knee roll. Replays show that it would have hit the inside part of the off stump. 74/5
30133831.261553000
62.4 to SC Williams, and the captain gets a crucial, critical strike! It's on a length outside off, and Williams plays back to it. It doesn't turn in, just goes on with the arm, and Williams plays for turn and gets an edge that de Silva snaps up at slip. 139/7
68.1 to DT Tiripano, huge, confident appeal for lbw and given! It was an arm ball on off stump. Tiripano presses forward to defend and is probably beaten by the pace as he is struck on the pad. The umpire takes little time to raise his finger, but replays show tat there was a huge inside edge. 145/8
87.2 to AG Cremer, oh my, what has Graeme Cremer done? He's batted so well, so solidly, across two innings, resisted everything Sri Lanka have thrown at him, and now he steps out to Rangana Herath and gets out to a rather unwise shot. Looks to work him across the line, against the turn, from outside off stump, but Herath's flight is too deceptive for him. Dips, doesn't turn as much as he expects, and goes through the gap between bat and pad, leaving Kusal Perera to do the rest. 183/9
1934522.36873010
16.4 to BB Chari, oh, knocked him over! Chari is caught on the crease and is beaten by the extra pace on that delivery. 141 kph. It was short of good length and Chari was stuck to the crease. Doesn't bring out his back foot to cover his stumps and sticks his bat out. The ball darts back in after landing and takes out his stumps. 31/1
42.6 to PJ Moor, reverse swing again! It was short of good length and nips back in sharply . Doesn't bounce anywhere near as much as a ball at that length should have. But it still struck Moor quite high. He was leaping up too and the ball clipped him on the front pad. The incoming angle made it tricky, but it probably would have clipped leg stump. But height was definitely a factor there. Replays confirm that the ball would have headed over leg stump. 100/6
15.343432.19744000
29.1 to TMK Mawoyo, that seemed to be heading down leg but Simon Fry doesn't think so. It was a length ball that pitched on middle. Mawoyo misses the flick and is rapped on the pads after the ball turns. It definitely seemed like that would miss leg as the ball trickles down to fine leg. They think of a leg bye even as the umpire raises his finger. Replays show that the ball would have missed even a fourth stump after the leg stick. 68/2
31.3 to CR Ervine, beautifully bowled! This one was plumb. It was pitched on a length and angled down the leg side. But it straightens and turns away late. Ervine presents a straight bat on the front foot but he has no clue about that. The ball hits him on the back pad and the umpire needs little time to raise his finger. Did one of the cracks come into play there? Seems like.. 74/3
90.3 to CB Mpofu, oh, bowled him! And that is the end of a stoic resistance from Zimbabwe. Coming to the delivery, it was on a length and on off stump channel. Mpofu presses forward but plays down the wrong line, keeps his bat inside the line and the ball spins back in to take out his off-stump. 186/10
