A late flourish from Mushfiqur Rahim, the wicketkeeper batting at No. 8, lifted Bangladesh A to 309 for 9 at the end of the first day of the second Test of their tour against Zimbabwe A, at Queen's Club in Bulawayo.
Mushfiqur, who's still only 16, faced 184 balls and hit ten fours after coming in with his side in some trouble at 142 for 6. Apart from his fine innings, the next-highest score was 35 from Nafees Ahmed, the opener and captain.
The pick of the Zimbabwean bowlers was Justice Chibhabha, who finished with 4 for 46, although Waddington Mwayenga kept things quiet, conceding only 43 runs from 22 overs, and claiming the wicket of the 15-year-old opener Raqibul Hasan, who scored a century (on his first-class debut) in the first Test.
Bangladesh A won that first match, at Queen's Club last week, by 50 runs.
