Manicaland 390 (Ebrahim 132, Masakadza 142, Garwe 4-89) defeated Mashonaland 110 and 200 (Carlisle 40, Taibu 43, Mufambisi 48, Mahwire 5-46) by an innings and 80 runs

Manicaland completed an upset by crushing the new champions Mashonaland by an innings and 80 runs at Harare Sports Club. Blessing Mahwire and Allan Mwayenga took three wickets each to shoot out Mashonaland for 110, the only resistance coming from Justice Chibhahba with 66. Dion Ebrahim and Hamilton Masakadza each made more than the entire Mashonaland side, with Ebrahim stroking 132 and Masakadza romping to 142 from just 182 balls as their side reached 390. Masakadza's knock included 19 fours and four sixes. Mahwire then blew Mashonaland away with five wickets, to bag a match haul of 8 for 63.

Matabeleland 176 (Ewing 49) and 333 for 3 (Vermeulen 114*, Coventry 90*, Duffin 60) defeated Midlands 259 (Utseya 72) and 248 (Marillier 49, Maregwede 60, Mupawira 5-52) by seven wickets

Mark Vermeulen and Charles Coventry shared an unbeaten fourth-wicket stand of 135 to lift Matabeleland to a seven-wicket victory against Midlands at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. Matabeleland had been in trouble after slumping to 176 in reply to Midlands' first-innings total of 259. Midlands went on to post 248 - Tawanda Mupariwa taking 5 for 52 - in their second innings, leaving Matabeleland to chase an unlikely 333 for victory. But chase it they did. Terrence Duffin (60) and Tinashe Hove (37) set a solid platform, with 92 for the first wicket; Duffin then added 61 with Vermeulen. Victory was still a long way off, but Vermeulen set about ensuring it, and put on 45 with Sean Williams for the third wicket. Then he stood firm, clattering an unbeaten 114 with Coventry striking 90 not out to ensure an emphatic victory.
