The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) has named the teams who will travel to Brisbane next week to take on the Queensland Bulls in ING and Pura Cup matches.
The teams see Australian Under-19 squad member and Redbacks rookie, Mark Cosgrove, make his debut for the State team in the ING Cup clash against the Bulls on January 19. Mark was the leading run-scorer in the recent Under-19 National Championships, scoring 451 for the series at an average of 75.16, and he was named player of the tournament.
Mark's Australian Under-19 team mate, fast bowler Trent Kelly, also has been named in the ING Cup side.
Also making his Redbacks debut, is Kensington fast bowler Mark Cleary. Mark's outstanding performances in Grade and ACB Cup competitions have earned him selection in the senior team for both the ING Cup and Pura Cup games.
Returning to the State side is batting all-rounder Ben Johnson, who has impressed selectors with some outstanding performances in Grade competition in recent weeks.
