THE ULTIMATE CRICKET COMPETITION
PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- The promoter of the ESPNcricinfo Ultimate Cricket Competition (“the Promotion”) is ESPN (Europe, Middle East, Africa) Limited of 3 Queen Caroline Street, London W6 9PE, registered in England & Wales with registration number 06565173 (the “Promoter”).
- This Promotion is only open to users of ESPNCricinfo.com who are aged 16 years or over at the date of entry and a permanent resident of the UK (the "Entrant"). Employees of the Promoter, ESPN Inc., The Walt Disney Company, their families, agents and anyone involved in the administration of the Promotion are not eligible to take part. The eligibility of any entrant is at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
- The Promotion will commence on May 25, 2011 and close on July 11, 2011. Entry to the competition is by the Entrant answering the question found at the url http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/site/ie9/competition.html and providing the contact details requested. Unless the Entrant has elected to receive ESPN email communications by ticking the opt-in box provided, Entrants' contact details shall only be used for notifying an Entrant that the Entrant has won the prize and for no other purposes whatsoever.
- The prize on offer is: A net session at Lord’s Cricket Ground with Graham Thorpe on August 17, 2011, lunch with Graham Thorpe, a mini-bat signed by Michael Vaughan redeemable from www.icons.com, £250 voucher to be spent at www.cricshop.com, redeemable only at www.cricshop.com, a 12-month subscription to The Cricketer magazine, two official adidas England One-Day cricket shirts, a Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop, a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition, a 250GB Xbox 360 games console, an Xbox Kinect including Kinect Sports, a 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold Membership, a copy of Skate 3 for Xbox 360, a copy of NHL 11 for Xbox 360, a copy of Madden 11 for Xbox 360, a copy of FIFA 11 for Xbox 360, an ESPN Limited Edition Goody Bag including ESPNcricinfo mini bats and ESPN & IE9 cricket shirts. The prize does not include the cost of transport to and from Lord’s Cricket Ground.
- The winner of the prize will be the user drawn at random from those who have correctly answered the question before the closing date. No entries will be accepted after the closing date. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify Entrants who submit obscene or offensive information.
- The winner will be notified by email and phone call on July 6, 2011. The winner must claim their prize within 7 days of notification. Failure to respond to a prize notification within this time period will result in disqualification and an alternative winner may be selected from the eligible entries received at the Promoter’s discretion. If winners are not able, for whatever reason, to accept a prize, the Promoter reserves the right in their discretion to award the prize to another Entrant. The Promoter will not be liable if a prize cannot be taken by a winner for any reason beyond the control of the Organiser. Before a prize is awarded, a prize winner may be required to sign a statement of eligibility, travel waiver form and liability/publicity release. Details of the names and counties of prize winners may be requested by writing to the Promoter at the address set out above.
- The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late or undelivered entries, notifications or communications or for any technical failure, malfunction or difficulty or for any event which may cause the Promotion to be disrupted or corrupted.
- No alternative prize will be awarded and there are no cash alternatives to the prizes. If for any reason it is not possible to provide a stated prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value. Prizes are not transferable unless agreed in writing by the Promoter. The terms and conditions of any third party supplier may apply to prizes as indicated. The Promoter reserves the right to cease or alter this Promotion without prior notice.
- The Promoter’s decision is final and legally binding on all Entrants. No correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply in full with these entry rules and conditions will be disqualified.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for resultant loss or damage (other than death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Promoter or their agents) as a result of taking part in the Promotion or the prize awarded.
- The winner may be required to participate in publicity surrounding the Promotion and consents to his/her name, location and photograph being published for the purposes of the Promotion and promoting the Promoter and their business.
- The instructions form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating in the Promotion participants will be deemed to have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, change the dates of entry into a promotion and/or the dates on which the competition will be promoted and the Promoter reserves the right to alter or withdraw a promotion or these terms and conditions at any stage if deemed necessary in its sole opinion or if circumstances arise outside its control.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales whose courts shall be the courts of exclusive jurisdiction
