It was insightful listening to the views of Amol Muzumdar who comes across as a very thoughtful cricketer. I felt that he was extremely unlucky not to play for India. Nevertheless have followed his long career in domestic cricket ( 16 yrs + ) as Mumbai player and later on as captain. Look forward to his continued association with the game and to similar interviews. Thanks.
Thanks to Siddhartha Talya, Abhishek Purohit and Amol Muzumdar for this show. It's hearting to see CI giving importance to Ranji games and talk about the teams and their players with a Professional player who played a long time in Ranji and talks well about the players and knowing about all players is really pleasing to see. Kppe it up the show. Would like to hear more about Elite team and their players performance in the next episode.
also, i would like to say ... nice guests.. good to hear from ppl like amol, vb ... i mean when we were in school playing cricket we always thought amol would make it to national cricket team.. but always nice to hear from honest cricketers like amol , akash .. great choice of guests.. again.... great show.. please don't drop this show... keep it going .. keep it honest...thank you again
i have been one of the biggest critics of some of the contents of a similar show ipl chatter... but this one.. @abhishek @ siddharth... is really really good.. finally we have domestic games with perspective... i mean we can't watch the games ... cant really get to know the real contexts of the games played ( meaning what was at stake in which match ) but this show gives a mojor insight into this. plus it throws us the names of new upcoming players which always is a pleasure. really great job guys.. am sorry if i've been harsh in some of my comments about ipl chatter.. but thats the way i felt. this show commands respect..hats off to you guys.. one suggestion..u could also give a two min round up of the recent matches in the beginning...and round up of matches to look for scorecards in newspapers in the next round.. just to give a bit of perspective. thank you so much. really look forward to the next show.
the simple question to ask on the Agarkar issue is, would a Sachin Tendulkar be dropped like that? accepted he is not an SRT (but all players are equal), there is no way the situation should have reached the point where he was asked to reach there for the game, and then told on the morning that he wasnt being picked. Further, just examining who played in that game for Mumbai, (specially against a non descript opposition), some kid batting in the first two making his debut, really? with Waseem a proven opener batting down the order, really? shouldnt Waseem have opened, creating a slot for Ajit down the order with the exatra bowler. Did Mumbai really need to play the extra batsman, and make a lad debut in the Ranji trophy? What is even more pathetic is that poor lad now doesnt even feature in the XI for this game. Thats vision and foresight for you!!! I am glad Ajit walked or flew home! hopefully someday someone will realise the game is all about the players and nobody else!
Great to hear about the domestic circuit. Very nice initiative and guests.
