Partnership
Partnership of the day, Gautam Gambhir and Mithun Manhas, 75 in 11.4 overs
This wasn't a typical Twenty20 partnership, but this wasn't a typical Twenty20 match either. On a pitch that offered bounce and sharp turn Delhi Daredevils lost three wickets for a song before Gautam Gambhir and Mithun Manhas batted with determination, fighting dehydration, to secure a valuable victory. Delhi held Paul Collingwood back and sent in Manhas, who provided his captain sensible support. Gambhir was steely: there were no ambitious shots and he played the ball late, cutting and glancing for ones and twos. Slowly but surely Gambhir and Manhas steered Delhi to safety. Manhas released pressure by cutting L Balaji and pulling Ashwin for fours before Gambhir hit a brace of boundaries off Raina to end Chennai's challenge. He pulled Bollinger for four in the 18th over to bring up 50 off 51 balls, and victory came soon after.

Moment
Gautam Gambhir reached his half-century off 51 balls by pulling Doug Bollinger for four and raised his bat in celebration. His innings was an example of application and he later said that the top order should have been more responsible.
