Three players - Mark Cosgrove, Anurag Singh and Dominic Thornely - have been penalised under the ECB's discipline code.
Cosgrove's offence came during Glamorgan's Championship match against Derbyshire last week. He was reported by umpires Peter Willey and Barrie Leadbeater for a level one breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action). The penalty remains on Cosgrove's record for a period of two years and any further level one breach during that period will result in an automatic imposition of three penalty points.
Singh was cited following an incident during Nottinghamshire's Second Xl Championship match against Gloucestershire, also last week. He was reported by umpires Mike Harris and Martin Brown for a level one breach of the code (abuse of cricket ground, equipment or fixtures/fittings).
Thornely has received three penalty points following an incident during Hampshire's Championship match against Yorkshire a fortnight ago. He was reported by umpires Willey and Jeff Evans for a level two breach of the code - showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action.
The penalty points remain on Thornley's record for two years. The accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two-year period will result in an automatic suspension.
