Women's domestic cricket season reaches conclusion

The three major domestic finals in women's cricket will be played this weekend to decide the ECB Premier League, the ECB National Knockout Cup and the ECB National Knock-Out Plate

The three major domestic finals in women's cricket will be played this weekend to decide the ECB Premier League, the ECB National Knockout Cup and the ECB National Knock-Out Plate.
England and Sussex Captain, Clare Connor, will lead Brighton and Hove CC against Thrumpton CC (Nottinghamshire) as both teams topped the South Division and North Division respectively. Connor will face England team-mate and wicketkeeper, Jane Smit, in trying to secure the Premier League crown from holders Wolverhampton CC.
The fifty over per side match will be played at Slough CC on Sunday 7th September, starting at 12 noon.
In the Knockout Cup Final Reading Ridgeway CC, including Claire Taylor, England's leading run-scorer in the recent npower Women's Test Series against South Africa, face the experienced Wakefield CC and Taylor's England namesake, the bowler Clare Taylor.
Reading Ridgeway beat defending Champions Brighton and Hove CC in the semi-final last weekend to end hopes of the 'double' returning to Sussex along with the Frizzell Women's County Crown.
The Plate Final will be contested by Bradford CC in their first domestic final and Dukesmead CC (Middlesex) who have reached the final for the second year in succession.
Both matches will be played on Saturday 6th September at Aldershot CC, starting at 12 noon.
