Imran Khalid's nine wickets helped Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited continue their run at the top of the table with a comprehensive eight-wicket win against Water and Power Development Authority in Karachi. In a low-scoring match with the highest team score of 133, SNGPL chased down 66 on the second day in just over 21 overs.
WAPDA were routed for 90, after they chose to bat, as Manzoor Khan took his maiden five-for (5 for 22) in only his second first-class match. Left-arm spinner Khalid complemented that with figures of 4 for 17. SNGPL were also restricted to a low score of 133, with left-arm spinner Khalid Usman taking 6 for 42, but their lead of 43 runs proved crucial eventually. Imran Khalid troubled WAPDA further, with his seventh five-for in first-class, and wrapped up the second innings for 108. It meant SNGPL were set a target of only 66, and they lost two wickets too, but Taufeeq Umar's unbeaten 36 took them home.
