Sami, Gohar keep Fighters on top with third win

Four wickets from Zafar Gohar and three from Mohammad Sami marshalled Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Fighters to their third straight win, as they beat Baluchistan Warriors by seven wickets in Karachi. The Fighters bowlers wrapped up the Warriors innings for 136 after they had opted to bat.
Warriors were rocked early on by Sami and Junaid Khan, reduced to 20 for 3 in the eighth over. They slumped further when Gohar, a left-arm spinner, took three of the next four wickets, which fell for only eight runs. However, No. 6 Ayaz Tasawwar fought back by scoring 44 and took them past 100. He combined with Zulfiqar Babar (32 off 31) for an eighth-wicket stand of 58 runs, but once Babar fell at the score of 108, Tasawwar could only take them to 136.
Fighters were bothered only initially in their chase. They lost their top three batsmen for low scores by the 21st over before an unbeaten 68 from Shoaib Malik took them home in the company of Adil Amin (27*) in the 36th over.
