As part of tour tradition one of the first adventures of the fine committee is to buy the worst clothing outfit possible as a 'daktari' prize for the tour. The daktari is awarded every week to one of the boys who have stepped out of line in one way or another; on the field or off the field, and this week it happened to be Slats. Unfortunately our dynamo opener miscued a pullshot while receiving throw downs at practise. This wouldn't usually be a problem accept that this particular stroke cannoned into the side of Michael Kasprowicz's jaw. At our last fines meeting Slats was unanimously voted as the daktari winner and he was ordered by the team to wear his newly acquired outfit at the end of the Test match.© Justin Langer
