TEAMS

Alcindo Holder represented West Indies at the 2001-02 Under-19 World Cup but had to wait until 2005-06 to make his debut for Barbados. He hit the ground running with 83 on debut and enjoyed a good first season, scoring 289 runs at 32.11, although he found the going harder in 2006-07. Weeks after appearing in the Carib Beer Series final he was stabbed just below his heart in a domestic altercation. That caused him to miss a season in England where in 2006 he had been the pro at Rochdale.
