Charith Fernando - He started his cricket school call De Mazenod College, Kandana. Two speed guns produce (Dilhar Fernando and Dhammika Prasad), As a youth cricketer, Charith has represented De Mazenod College, Kandana in U 13, U 15, U 17 and U 19 teams from 1992 - 2002 and later represented Chilaw Marians, Singhalese Sports Club, Colombo Cricket Club and Panadura Sports Club up to date. He represented Sri Lanka under 19 team from 2001 - 2002 as a wicketkeeper batsman and toured Pakistan and performed in the World Cup in New Zealand in 2002. He took 8 victims against Zimbabwe. This happens to be the best performance by a wicketkeeper in grade of cricket. He won the awards for the best Batsman, Best Fielder in all Island tournament and became the Runner Up of the School boy cricket in all island. In year 2002 and 2003 he represented Sri Lanka A team and toured India and Pakistan. In 2003 Sri Lanka Board President's XI and played against touring Bangladesh team and participated in the Tri Nation Series (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India).

In the year 2004 represented as wicketkeeper batsman for the domestic club SSC (Sinhalese Sports Club) and was placed 3rd place In the year 2006 he represented Sri Lanka Academy and toured Malaysia and Bangladesh. In 2005-06 represented Chilaw Marians and was Premier runners up and placed 8th place in the batting ranking with 640 runs and runners up in the International club championship in UK From 2007 to 2010 he represented as wicketkeeper batsman for the domestic club call Colombo Cricket Club

He also represented Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) tournament organized by Sri Lanka Cricket and his team Neganahira Nagas was the runners up in first year. He represented Provincial tournament (Domestic) North Central, Basnahira South and Neganahira Nagas in respectively. An outstanding wicketkeeper batsman, Charith believe he is at his peak and selection to the Sri Lanka A team. He has been a great performer in domestic and national teams in Sri Lanka and given his best in discipline of batting and wicket keeping to the teams at all times. He has been very popular with his team mates and a very valuable player who has contributed to the game. He possess a good public relations and friendly atmosphere with his team mates in and out of the field with his charming personality and his smile.
