Naqaash Tahir was viewed as a promising quick bowler but his career has been interrupted by injuries to his back. He took a wicket with his second ball in first-class cricket against Cambridge University in 2004 and followed this up with a match winning performance against Worcestershire on Championship debut. He spent ten seasons with Warwickshire before moving in the hope of better fortune with Lancashire but that never transpired and he was released at the end of the 2012 season.
