Wisden's review of the tour match, India A v England, 2016-17

15-Apr-2017
At Mumbai (Brabourne), January 10, 2017 (day/night). England XI won by three wickets. India A 304-5 (50 overs) (S. Dhawan 63, A. T. Rayudu 100, Yuvraj Singh 56, M. S. Dhoni 68*); ‡England XI 307-7 (48.5 overs) (J. J. Roy 62, S. W. Billings 93; Kuldeep Yadav 5-60). Chris Woakes (0-71) and Jake Ball (2-61) proved expensive as a strong India A line-up passed 300, thanks to a round 100 from Ambati Rayudu (who retired out) and rapid half-centuries from the veterans Yuvraj Singh and skipper M. S. Dhoni, whose 68* took just 40 balls. But after openers Jason Roy and Alex Hales put on 95 in 14.3 overs, Sam Billings shared stands of 79 with Jos Buttler and 99 with Liam Dawson, as England overcame the threat posed by the unorthodox slow left-armer Kuldeep Yadav, who finished with his best List A figures.
