Following his 43 in the first innings, Ahmed Amla struck a brutal 105-ball hundred to power the Dolphins to victory over the Lions on the final day at Johannesburg. Set 253, the Dolphins lost Imraan Khan and Hashim Amla cheaply before Doug Watson played an anchor innings to stablise the run chase. He and Amla (125) put on 230 for third wicket, at a brisk pace, to hand the Dolphins a comprehensive seven-wicket win. Amla's innings contained 24 boundaries and despite falling for 125, his knock had all but seen his side home.
