Dan Redfern and Paul Borrington, Derbyshire's two young batsmen, have both signed new two-year contracts with the club.
Redfern, 17, and Borrington, 19, penned their new deals yesterday after promising contributions in the recent Championship match against Northamptonshire. Borrington impressed with his maiden first-class fifty on the first day, while Redfern offered 43 a day later.
Both youngsters are a product of the Derbyshire County Cricket Club Academy and each of them made their first-class debuts at the age of 17.
John Morris, Derbyshire's head of cricket, said: "I am delighted that both of these young players have committed their future to Derbyshire for at least the next two years."
