Bishan Bedi has a go

16-Feb-2010

Bishan Bedi: "It was India's second innings in the Headingley Test of 1967. We were following on after we had somehow got to 164 in the first innings. England had made 550. Robin Hobbs, the legspinner, was bowling from round the wicket to a field set for rank No. 11s like me. He was not too much trouble, and I just went for the slog there wasn't much else I could do in that situation. Tiger Pataudi had played a tremendous knock and we ended up making 510. I contributed 14, with two fours, but overall it was a bad game for me. I suffered a hamstring injury and hardly bowled in the match."Photograph from PA Photos
