Karachi fast bowler Sohail Khan, who has played one Test and four ODIs for Pakistan, took 7 for 27 as Hyderabad's first innings lasted just 27 overs. However, the hosts decided not to enforce the follow-on despite having a 304-run lead. Seamer Rajesh Ramesh made the early breakthroughs, trapping Hanif-ur-Rehman and Rizwan Ahmed lbw, before Sohail ran through the rest of the Hyderabad line-up. Lahore Shalimar ended the second day needing 105 runs to win with all ten wickets in hand, but the task may not be as easy as it seems as both sides have struggled with the bat . After 17 wickets had fallen on day one, Lahore Shalimar managed to add another 49 for their last three wickets, taking them to 145. Aamer Hayat then repeated the dose he doled out to Lahore Ravi in the first innings, when they were bowled out for 107, taking 6 for 81, giving him 12 wickets in the match, as Lahore Ravi were bowled out for 193. Chasing 156, Wasim Butt and Irfan Zaman, who made 0 and 2 respectively in the first innings, took Lahore Shalimar to 51 for no loss.

Centuries by Saeed Anwar jnr and Ali Khan put Khan Research Laboratories firmly in command of their match against Abbottabad on the second day at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, as the visitors took a 238-run lead with four wickets remaining. KRL had surprised second-place Abbottabad on Monday, bowling them out for 123, and solidified their advantage on Tuesday, scoring over 300 runs today. KRL opener Anwar jnr - who is not related to the former Pakistan batsman - played the anchor role, while Khan took just 156 balls for his unbeaten 137.

Quetta are staring at their fourth defeat in five matches, as they still need 26 runs to make State Bank of Pakistan bat again, with only four wickets in hand at the Khan Research Laboratory Ground in Rawalpindi. Wasid Naeem's 96 revived SBP's innings after a minor collapse had left the table-toppers at 74 for 4, and they managed to make 237, before reducing Quetta to 83 for 6, with fast bowler Mohammad Naved, who took a five-for in Quetta's first innings, adding two more scalps.

Pakistan Television seamer Saad Altaf struck thrice as Peshawar ended the day 271 runs behind after Pakistan Television scored 390.
