10.30pm Afghanistan seemed to be ahead in the chase during the 144-run stand between Rahmat and Shahidi. But Shakib bowled an excellent spell and tipped the balance in the home team's favour. When he removed Rahmat, he became Bangladesh's leading wicket-taker in ODIs. The returning Taskin then nailed the yorkers at the death to seal Bangladesh's tense win.

Presentation:

Asghar Stanikzai: Congratulations to Bangladesh. The bowlers bowled very well, that's why they won the match. Rashid and Naveen restricted Bangladesh. At one stage they looked at 280-290. At the end, we played some poor shots.

Mashrafe Mortaza: Afghan played really well, our catching was costing us. Later on, Shakib and Taskin were good with the ball. Last three months we were working hard, but the way we played we were not up to the mark. We could have scored 280-plus, but the set batsmen got out. Taskin has just recovered from the tests, Rubel is coming from injury. This match will boost them up.

Shakib Al Hasan, Man of the Match: We knew this game was going to be tricky. We are playing ODIs after almost a year. We were careful and short by 20 runs. The spinners bowled really well and were exceptional. The roles is the team is to take the game to the end. Tamim played a brilliant knock, Imrul started well.

Thanks for joining us. Looking forward to your company for the second ODI. Until then, buh-bye.

Z Ikram: "2-0-11-4, That spell by Taskin!"

Vaseem: "Well played Afghanistan. You fought till the last. Best wishes for the upcoming matches.

Nayeem: "What a Gem of a comeback for Taskin, he was in immense pressure after that "bowling action" test. Returning after cleared action and getting 4 wickets proves the character he have. Salute, sir."
